I like the idea of this shot. The fire adds a good element to the story.
Somethings I would have done different:
1. Bring up the Ambient to get more detail in the blacks. Your bottom right side is hard to make out and the upper left, minus the flame, has no detail at all. 2. Having the foliage in the foreground lit by daylight begs the question that "Do you need the torch outside". This and the previous could have been fixed with a Flash with a Full CTO filter to add more of the torch's color to the image. This would also correct the color shift because of the white balance that was needed to balance day and the flame. 3. Focus on the Eyes. The torch, albeit interesting, isn't the main character of this shot. 4. Because I would use flashes to light this, I would bump up the speed of the camera to stop the motion of the flame. (This is more of a personal choice, and I guess so is the rest of the this. )
